Special trains for festivals
Patna: Northeast Frontier Railway on Friday announced four trips of special trains between Katihar and Ranchi to deal with the rush during Diwali and Chhath.
A special train (08619) will leave Ranchi at 2.05pm on November 8 and 15 for Katihar. Another (08620) will leave Katihar at 2pm on November 9 and 16 to arrive in Ranchi. The trains will run via Khagaria, Begusarai, Barauni, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Dhanbad, Bokaro Steel City and Muri.
Suicide
Patna: Ved Prakash, a 25-year-old civil engineer, allegedly committed suicide after jumping off the Jagdeopath-Sheikhpura Mor flyover on Friday morning. The victim worked with a private firm in Noida.
Arrest
Patna: One Vicky Kumar was arrested in connection with a dacoity in the SK Puri area on Thursday. The victim, Rajendra Prasad Singh, was the owner of the Patliputra Gas Agency.

Patna: Sainik School, Nalanda, was adjudged the best sainik school in Madhya Bharat area on the basis of the cadets' performance in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
One killed
Munger: Armed criminals beheaded a 60-year-old farmer, Kalicharan Mandal, in Bel Bihma Behiyar on Friday morning.
