Book on former Speaker released - Rich tributes paid to writer Laxminarayan Sudhansu

Patna, Sept. 13: A book written on life and achievements of former Speaker Laxminarayan Sudhansu was released at the Sinha Library today.

Indira Gandhi National Open University professor Satyakam released the book written by eminent author Vanshidhar Singh. The book titled Laxminarayan Sudhansu: Yaktitv Aur Krititv has been published by Admire Work Design, New Delhi.

At the release function, Satyakam said: “Laxminarayan was great literary personality, politician and journalist. His love for Hindi literature was always his guiding light.”

The book release was organised by Samay Samvad and Janwadi Lekhak Sangh.

Speaking at the function, eminent author Kalanath Mishra said: “Laxminarayan was a great writer and also a great journalist and poet. He was an accomplished writer and his writings are a source inspiration for new writers.

Mishra also said, Laxmi-narayan Sudhansu has left an indelible mark on of Hindi literature. Young journalists who want to make an identity for themselves should follow his example.

Chief guest Jiya Lal Arya, a retired IAS officer, laid emphasis on Sudhansu’s personality and creative writing skills. Arya said: “Laxminarayan Sudhanshu was a simple man. This was reflected in his writing as well and infuenced a number of budding journalists and writers.”

Journalist Shivnarayan said: “This book was needed as it focuses on a man who was not only a great thinker but also a gem of a person.”

Librarian of Sinha Library Ramshobhit Prasad Singh has written the introduction for the book.

Speaking at the book release function, he said: “He was great man who founded an academy like Bihar Rashtrabhasa Parishad. This book has tried to understand his personality and creativity.”
