The land of magic

Sania Imran is tired of visiting her nani house in Patna every year during the summer vacations. The Class VII student of St Joseph’s Convent High School has come up with a different plan this year.

“I am tired of going to my nani’s house every year. So, this year, I wish to visit Hogwarts,” she says.

“The place is just amazing. It is the land of my fantasies. I want to learn all the magic from the university there, play soccer on the flying broom and see the unique animals…” she says. The adventures of Harry Potter may not be fun if you aren’t a wizard yourself, but that doesn’t bother Sania. “I have been a Harry Potter fan since my childhood. He will be my companion,” she says with a smile.

Seems like a cool plan. Can we join in?

Ice cream with mermaids

Sakshi Kamalia loves ice cream. The Class VIII student of Delhi Public School, Patna, plans to spend this summer in forests made of ice cream, like the ones in fairytales. “I want to stay in a house made up of ice cream - a frozen castle. There, I want to watch graceful dancers and dive into the sea for icy glowing pearls,” she smiles.

Her fantasy does not stop here. “I would love to swim with the mermaids too,” the girl giggles.

Fun with sub-zero heroes

Ishfa Maryam minces no words in specifying where she wants to go. 'I would like to undertake a trip to the land of ice from the movie Ice Age. “There cannot be a better way to escape the heat, than by travelling to the land where the sabre-toothed squirrels and other prehistoric animals rule the roost,” the Class VII student of St Joseph’s Convent High School says.

Ishfa clarifies why she has chosen the sub-zero land over other places. “Every year, I plan to visit some hill station. I have decided to do something different this time around.”

Just one advice: Don’t forget your gumboots, you will have to do a lot of walking.

Cinderella dance with Prince Charming

Akansha Priya, a Class XII student of Don Bosco Academy, Digha, wants to escape to the world of Cinderella this summer.

Wondering why? Pat comes the reply from Akansha: “Ever since I read the story, I want to live her life. Naturally, escaping to the fairy world would be my first option.”

Besides the fascinating journey in a golden coach, the wish to lead a few hours as a princess makes the visit to the world of Cinderella Akansha's biggest fantasy. “The romance part of the night in the palace also fascinates me. I wish a prince would spot me when I am in Cinderella’s shoes and take me to his palace. If the prince proposes to marry me, the journey would be complete.”
