Patna, Sept. 6: BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi today tried to play down speculations over Narendra Modi not being the prime ministerial candidate of the party.

“Any decision regarding the PM candidate would be taken by the party’s parliamentary board. There is no need to reach any conclusion regarding the statement of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi.”

On Thursday, Modi had said: “People of Gujarat have given me a mandate to serve them till 2017 and I have to do this with my full strength.”
