Pappu praise for PM

Patna, Feb. 27: A day after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RJD MP Pappu Yadav today praised him, saying he was a leader with maximum will power after Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi.

He also praised Modi's leadership qualities, saying he could move forward by taking all along.

Cong panel

 Patna: Keeping Assembly elections in mind, All India Congress Committee on Friday constituted a new Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee with 15 vice-presidents, 25 general secretaries and 76 secretaries.

Bank loot

 Hajipur: Motorbike-borne criminals looted Rs 14 lakh in cash belonging to Allahabad Bank at Bagmali in Vaishali district on Friday.

Shot dead

Ara: A liquor trader, identified as Dinesh Yadav (28), was shot dead at Agiawan Bazar in Bhojpur district late on Thursday night.

Murder arrest

 Siwan: Superintendent of police Vikas Burman on Friday said the murder case of Shrikant Bhartiya, the spokesperson of BJP MP from Siwan Om Prakash Yadav, had been solved. He said special investigation team recently arrested one Shailendra Yadav, a contract killer, in Gorakhpur and he confessed his involvement in the crime.

Robbery

 Munger: Four armed criminals looted Rs 7 lakh from the Madhopur Bazaar branch of Bihar Kashetriya Gramin Bank in Jamui district on Friday morning.

Law & order

 Patna: Citing Thursday's incident in which the house of a businessman was looted, BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav on Friday said while the government was busy holding review meetings on the law and order issue, nothing specific was being done on the ground.

RLSP demand

 Patna: NDA ally Rashtriya Lok Samta Party has opined that the coalition should go into Bihar Assembly election with RLSP leader Upendra Kushwaha as the chief ministerial candidate.

 Gaya: A case has been lodged against former mayor of Gaya Municipal Corporation Vibha Devi and her three brothers in-law with Chandauti police station on Friday for causing hindrance in government work.
