Train security

Patna, July 15: Senior Railway Protection Force (RPF) commandant, Danapur, Chandra Mohan Mishra convened a crime meeting of all inspectors of Danapur division under East Central Railway on Saturday.

Several decisions were taken during the meeting. Railway Protection Special Force personnel will be deployed at major stations for Shravani Mela. RPF will escort 54 trains. Two ladies teams will check crime against women passengers.

Molest cuffs

Patna: Pirbahore police on Saturday nabbed Sultanganj resident Irshad for sexually assaulting minor girls. The mechanic assaulted a minor in Mallik Lane on Saturday.

River mission

Patna: Deputy inspector-general (central range) Rajesh Kumar on Saturday summoned a meeting of Patna police officers to chalk out strategy to keep the Ganga clean.

Darbhanga: Police busted an inter-state gang of vehicle lifters after the arrest of five men from Mabbi police station area of the district on Saturday.

Bettiah: A group of criminals opened fire and thrashed the manager and employees of a local hospital on Saturday.

Firing

Buxar: Panic gripped Tiara Bazar following firing by a group of armed men on Saturday. Two shopkeers, Raju Sah and Munna Sah, suffered bullet injuries in the firing and were admitted to the government hospital at Buxar for treatment.
