Paris health talks
Patna: Dr Ramjee Singh, the president of Central Council of Homoeopathy, Dr M.K. Sahani, the chairman of the council’s education committee, and Dr Ravindra Kumar, the principal of Gaya Homoeopathic Medical College, would take part in an international Homoeopathic Science Congress in Paris next week.
The four-day event would be held from July 16, according to a note from the Homoeopathic Science Congress Society on Monday.
Nabard pact
Patna: Nabard recently signed an agreement with Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium to bring two institutions in close coordination for implementing schemes for promotion of producer organisation.
MLA demise
Chhapra: Former MLA Ram Pravesh Rai died at Vedanta Hospital, Gurgaon, on Sunday night after a long illness. He had represented the Chhapra Assembly constituency on the JDU ticket twice from 2005. A condolence meeting was held at the district board office on Monday. Rai was the chairman of the district board office in 2002.
Workers back
Patna: Maqsood Alam and Raju Ram, two workers from Bihar trapped in Iraq, returned to their villages on Monday. Patna district labour officer Sri Nivas Ojha received the duo in Patna where they reached by a train. Later, they were sent to their villages in Samastipur and Gopalganj districts, respectively.
Contribution
Patna: Sir Ganesh Dutt Vichar Manch on Monday organised a programme to mark the birth anniversary of Devendra Nath Sharma, a writer and scholar of Hindi literature. Participants threw light on the contribution made by Sharma in the field of literature.

Patna: Tributes were paid to freedom fighter Peer Ali on Monday at a state function organised to mark the anniversary of his martyrdom. Food and consumer protection minister Shyam Rajak garlanded the freedom fighter’s picture.
