Cops foil theft bid, arrest two
Muzaffarpur: Two thieves were arrested in the small hours of Friday when they were trying to break into a shop near Kalyani Chowk.
A shutter cutter, hammer and chisel were seized from the possession of the arrested thieves. Town police station house officer Mohammad Nasim said a police patrol car spotted the thieves while they were trying to cut the shutter of a shop and arrested them after a brief chase.
The station house officer also said the arrested thieves had revealed the names of persons who were a part of the gang and raids were being conducted to arrest them.
Teen girls abduction
Nawada (PTI): Three Mahadalit teenage girls have gone missing from Lodipur village since September 23. Their parents registered an FIR at Warsaliganj police station on Friday accusing eight persons of kidnapping the girls. Two of the girls share the same name and age — Kajal Kumari (14). The other girl is 13-year-old Munchun Kumari. The girls had gone to collect firewood when some people came in a white car and forcefully took them away.

Arms factory
Munger: Police on Friday unearthed an illegal arms factory at Banodha Behiya village and arrested its owner Mohammad Usman. Two country-made pistols and machines used to make guns were seized from the factory.
