Munger: Kotwali police on Friday night busted a gang involved in the theft of deposited fire-arms from Munger civil court malkhana (arms-store).

During night patrol, the police intercepted two bikers and recovered a double-barrel gun from them. After interrogation, the police raided Satya Sai Hotel near Munger civil court and recovered a firearm.

"Kotwali police seized two bikes and arrested five arms smugglers involved in stealing deposited firearms from the old civil court malkhana in Munger fort area. One of the recovered fire-arms, a double-barrel gun, bears the mark of the court malkhana and name of the judge's court," Munger superintendent of police Gaurav Mangla said. "The theft of firearms from the malkhana is a sensitive matter."
