Students of Tender Hearts International perform at a fancy dress competition themed on goddess Durga on the institute’s campus in Patna on Wednesday. Doctors in the city have asked residents to take care of their children in the run-up to Durga Puja because of the changing weather conditions. “Besides common cold and breathing problems, the residents are prone to suffer from mosquito-borne diseases like malaria and dengue. Gastroenteric disease, accompanied with diarrhoea, is another common problem among children at this time,” said Dr Rajiv Ranjan of Patna Medical College and Hospital. Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences director Dr Arun Kumar said people should not drink cold water and have ice creams. Text by Roshan Kumar, picture by Nagendra Kumar Singh |
