Bagaha, June 1: Two people sustained serious injuries when two of the five live bombs kept in a polythene bag exploded near the railway station this morning.

The incident occurred when a group of shepherds picked up the bag out of curiosity. Bagaha superintendent of police Anil Kumar Singh has confirmed the incident. Both the victims have been admitted to the local government hospital.

He said: “Their condition is stated to be stable.”

Sources said the movement of trains was disrupted for almost an hour in the busy Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur section of East Central Railway following the blast.
