Two criminals were arrested with firearms and cartridges from Khadi Bandhar Chowk in Muzaffarpur on Thursday.

Both the criminals — Syed Muntazir Imam and Vaidyanath Paswan — were earlier involved in cases of abduction and extortion.

Imam’s elder brother is a constable posted at Bihar Military Police 6 in the district. Both Imam and Paswan have been forwarded to Khudiram Bose Central Jail on Friday.

Muzaffarpur senior superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar has asked Mithanpura police to keep tabs on all those with criminal antecedents.
