Hussain freed Afghan floods China exam

Hussain freed

London, June 7 (Reuters): British police have released exiled Pakistani politician Altaf Hussain on bail following his arrest four days ago which sent Karachi into lock- down amid fears of violence.

Hussain, 60, was arrested on Tuesday at his north London home on suspicion of money laundering. Wanted in Pakistan in connection with a murder case, he has been living in self-imposed exile in Britain since the early 1990s.

Afghan floods

Kabul (Reuters): At least 58 people have been killed and many more are missing in flash floods that hit parts of northern Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai’s office said on Saturday.

China exam

Beijing (PTI): Over 9.4 million Chinese school students on Saturday appeared for the first day of the nationwide college entrance test called Gaokao.
