Why: Eight times in 12 years. That’s how many times FE Block has won The Telegraph Salt Lake Super Souvenir contest. This year too, the edition is a complete package of quality reading material and vital information.  
The souvenir begins with a painting of Durga and the pantheon and inside are Sanskrit slokas welcoming the goddess. There is also a reprint of their chief priest’s article on the essence of Puja. 
There are stories, articles, poems and artwork by residents young and old, photographs and paragraphs reminiscing celebrations held in the block over the past year. The contents are also indexed at the start. 
The souvenir is replete with useful information such as phone numbers of doctors in the block, numbers of corporation departments such as garbage collection and street lighting, electric and gas offices, fire brigade etc. It mentions ATMs nearby and bus routes that frequent the block’s periphery. The souvenir is a ready reckoner that will be handy to residents round the year.
