With ZNMD being “a feel-good family entertainer” and not an ‘A’ film like Delhi Belly or Murder 2, the block booking figures are rising every day.

“It’s opened bigger than we expected and we don’t think it is going to drop in a hurry,” said Debashish De of Aum Moviez, the regional distributor of ZNMD.

The Battle of Hogwarts and the bachelor road trip may actually be complementing each other. “Being a huge Potterhead, I watched Harry Potter on the first day and then went back for Zindagi... on Saturday,” said movie buff Meghna Dass. “After a long time, I had the option of watching two big films on the same weekend.”

For Sneha Sharma, a college student, Hrithik was the first choice. “He was rocking in ZNMD and now I have to catch the last Harry Potter episode,” she smiled, in the ticket queue at INOX (Forum) on Sunday.

The box-office bull run is expected to continue with Ajay Devgn’s Singham this Friday. “That’s an action film for the masses and shouldn’t affect the business of Zindagi and HP 8,” said De of Aum Moviez.
