Actor Abhishek Chatterjee and model-turned-artist Piu Sarkar at an exhibition of paintings by Priyanka Gupta at the Academy of Fine Arts on Wednesday evening. The exhibition, titled ‘I am only Human’, portrays the self-taught painter’s innermost feelings. Priyanka is an abstract painter, and uses acrylic and enamel as her mediums. The event was also used as a platform to felicitate the cast of a Bengali film, Sukh Dukher Sansar. This Swapan Saha venture has had a successful run of 200 days in cinemas across the state. The director and the male lead, Abhishek, were both present at the function, though the other cast members, like actor Rituparna Sengupta, gave the show a miss. Picture by Pabitra Das
