Delhi Public School-Ruby Park (picture top) with the winners’ trophy for Quaestio 2014, an inter-school quiz competition hosted by the junior section of Birla High School at Vidya Mandir. Around 20 schools took part in the quiz and each team had three members. The eight finalists were DPS-Ruby Park, Don Bosco Park Circus, Loreto Day School Bowbazar, Loreto Day School Elliot Road, Birla High School, The Heritage School, Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan and Modern High School for Girls.

There were six rounds, including questions based on audio-video clues as well as a round on cartoons and comics. For the audio round, the kids were quizzed on Taare Zameen Par, Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell speech and the After Party song from Bhootnath Returns. There was a tie for the second place between The Heritage School and Modern High School for Girls with 55 points,which the latter won.

“Our principal ma’m will be very proud of us,” said Pulkit Khanna, a Class V student of DPS-Ruby Park. His teammates were Abhigyan Chanda of Class V and Prachurjo of Class III.
