She was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Later, she was provided with a writer (a student of lower class) there and she could appear in the exam.
The incident has left the school authorities and parents of other students worried. Police have started an investigation to know what has led to such a situation.

As she was rescued, the news spread and a section of parents of other examines who were outside resorted to protests and questioned security arrangements at the school. The police rushed to the spot and brought situation under control.
Meanwhile, women civic volunteers were engaged who took the girl to the hospital.
"The girl has been admitted to the rural hospital in Modipukur (located nearby). She has been provided with treatment. We have come to know that her right hand got fractured. That is why a writer was provided to her and she appeared in the examination. We are in touch with the school authorities to obtain more details," said Tapas Das, the district inspector (secondary) of schools of Malda.
A police officer said: "We want to know whether she was attacked by someone and how she got her hand fractured."
Gamiruddin Mian, the teacher-in-charge of Bamangola High School, said the police were probing the incident.
"It is most important for her to appear in the exams. We are equally surprised as to how such an incident happened in the school. Police are probing the case and we believe, things would be clear soon," he said.
