Bravo footballers
• Prabhat Lakhra and Sankar Roy ( Football heroes live hard life, April 10) make our chests swell with pride and our hearts heavy with their sheer dedication and tenacity. They had the power to hang on when letting go would appear most attractive. They have not only defeated their opponents on the field, but also poverty and all sorts of inhibitions. They have shown us how we have to push harder than yesterday, if we want a better tomorrow. I want to wish them loads of luck and tonnes of positivities. They can and I'm sure they will.

Inspiring story. Never give up.

Aadhaar anomalies
• The procedure for Aadhaar application is a little difficult, especially for older people (Aadhaar agony for disabled , March 21). Often, they do not understand the procedure and that causes delays. The procedure for changing details such as mobile number is also complicated.

No to racism
• I am a proud Calcuttan (Calcutta's view is also coloured, say Africans who no longer feel at home , April 5). As a child, I lived in Maniktala and there were many African students who lived in the nearby Duff Hostel. I never saw them face any racial prejudice. I pray to Calcuttans to stop discrimination against Africans in the city.
