Bravehearts: Hats off to the boys and girls for their mental strength and tenacity. Metro too deserves praise for highlighting their stories. |
It takes courage to answer a call, it takes courage to give your all, it takes courage to risk your name, it takes courage to be true. Triumph of spirit in test (May 19) reminded me of this song I learnt in school. The achievement of Nirvik, Ishita, Swapnaneel and Sweetlin is exceptional. They have shown immense grit, focus, zeal and courage beyond imagination. Kudos to the four for their acts of valour in adverse situations. We are proud of them. Their parents have taught them to face trials with a smile. Every uphill climb ends in victory.

Thank you Metro for introducing me to these boys and girls as I too have been going through similar struggle. While I was giving my maths exam, my father was in hospital. On March 23, I lost him and had to go to our village for the cremation. I did not know whether I would be able to give my next exam but with my family support I gathered enough courage to return to Calcutta and finish my exams. When I found out that I had scored 82.25 per cent, I was shattered as I thought it was too low. But after reading the article I regained confidence and am now ready to face the future. My best wishes to these guys and hope they do well in future too.

Kudos to bravehearts Nirvik, Ishita, Swapnaneel and Sweetlin for their dauntless approach in completing their ISC exam despite all odds and coming out with flying colours. Hats off to you all. Being a teacher myself I can imagine your mental condition. But with sheer grit, determination and tremendous mental strength, you have made it. You have set an example. I salute your spirit and bless you all to shine in life.

Reading about the fabulous four students who overcame all obstacles to appear for their ISC examinations and performed well is sure to have left many in tears. These four students had to face the biggest exam of their life amid challenges. They had to undergo emotional, physical and mental stress. But they faced it all with bravery and succeeded. Their stories remind me of John Milton’s poem, On His Blindness, which the poet had written after losing eyesight. The poem says that God is kind not only to those who worship him, but also to those who bear the suffering given to them by life and bear it, without complaint. So many of us have so many complaints and excuses in life, but after reading their stories, we are sure to realise how selfish our thoughts become sometimes. These students are indeed special!

I was momentarily stunned after reading the article on the four ISC students. Indeed, life at times puts us to test, almost breaks our spirit and tortures our soul. It is not just hard work that paid off for these four students, but their determination, courage and tremendous willpower as well. They deserve applause. They have proved once again that where there is will, there is always a way.

I think it would be audacious of me to talk about this extraordinary foursome. They are the real stars, the true champs. I wish them every success in life.

No appreciation is good enough for Nirvik, Ishita, Swapnaneel and Sweetlin. All of them have shown immense courage. All four of them are remarkable examples of grit, determination, willpower and fortitude of character. They have set an example for others to follow. In our daily lives, we face many problems that upset our progress but these students have taught us to fight the odds and stand up in adverse situations. The students have proved their mettle and the country needs these brave soldiers. This indomitable will to stand tall will help them scale newer heights. My best wishes to the fab four for their future endeavours.

Nirvik Sen Sarma, Ishita Ghosh, Swapnaneel Parasar, Sweetlin Brahmachary epitomise strength, patience and courage. All those who take life and its blessings for granted should look for inspiration in them. The Fab Four have overcome life’s tough tests at such a young age and are true heroes. I would like to wish them success in all their future endeavours and I also wish that all four of them have a beautiful and flourishing life.

These special students have a messages for us, not the other way round. Theirs are inspiring stories about surmounting hurdles and keeping one’s resolve intact in the face of challenges that life has hurled at them. May all of their dreams come true!
