Satyaprasad Roy Burman

The founder of the Khadim’s footwear brand, Satyaprasad Roy Burman, passed away on December 7. The resident of EC Block was suffering from age-related diseases.

The octogenarian was admitted at Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals and breathed his last at 11.55am. He leaves behind his wife Namita, sons Partha Pratim and Siddhartha and daughters Jayasri Burman Maity and Manjusree Pandey. His sons live in BH Block.

Khadim’s has over 600 outlets around the country, including three in Salt Lake. “All though he was never in favour of stopping work on his account, our City Centre store was shut at 2pm on December 7,” said a spokesperson for Khadim’s.
