Jagaran Sangha, a club in Harishchandapur of Malda district, has come up with a clay idol of chief minister Mamata Banerjee, portraying her as goddess Durga at the Ganesh Puja organised by it this year.

Clad in a blue-white sari, the idol, with 10 hands symbolising the social welfare schemes introduced by the state government, is seen cradling Ganesh.
