Gynaecologist Gautam Khastgir flanked by Prosenjit and Rachana Banerjee at the launch of Bhoruk Kol, a book on infertility co-published by Sananda. Khastgir, who has touched many lives with his work over the past few decades, draws inspiration from Subhas Mukherjee, the man behind India's first test-tube baby, and hopes to carry his legacy forward. 'Infertility is not a disease. It's a problem that can be solved with timely treatment. There is nothing to be ashamed of,' said Khastgir. Bhoruk Kol, the doctor's fifth book, answers many questions that 'people shy away from asking'. Prosenjit spoke about the joys of parenthood. 'Motherhood is the best thing that can happen to a woman. But our busy and stressful life often comes in the way of finding the little joys of life. We should learn to balance career and family,' the actor said.A film documenting the journey and achievements of Khastgir was screened and doctors associated with his fertility clinic - Bengal Infertility Reproductive Therapy Hospital - were felicitated on the Science City stage on Saturday.
