I don’t know how I would have felt if I had Mrs Sen as my heroine in a film. I would have tripped and fallen, or seen stars in broad daylight! After all she is and will always be the Mahanayika. She is the most beautiful actress our country has ever seen. It would also have been a learning experience.... There is so much to learn from her, like how to carry yourself, how to maintain your dignity and how to attain the kind of personality that she always had.

Just thinking about being her co-star gives me goosebumps! Probably I would have fainted looking at her! But then it would have been tough to handle given her aura, the way she carried herself, her personality…. It would have been a tough task to be with her in the same frame and not be intimidated and maybe I would have just gaped at her! I would have been so taken by her beauty that I would have miserably failed to deliver.

My most treasured Suchitra Sen film is Uttar Falguni, but no, I couldn’t have been paired opposite her in this film because Bikash Roy (Suchitra’s co-star in her Pannabai role) was so damn good.
