Hooghly gets running

The streets of Hooghly belonged to runners on Sunday morning. At least 100 people participated in the 11km Mini Hooghly Marathon that started from the Hooghly Branch Government High School grounds. The Hooghly Club organised the run as a part of its centenary celebrations. Samir Pal of Tribeni secured the first position while Ranjit Chauhan of Kanchrapara and Ganesh Ram were adjudged second and third. Picture by Ananda Das
