Calcutta, Nov. 17: A four-member expert team of French company Seureca today began a survey of Salt Lake?s civic amenities to provide better services.

The visit followed an agreement for the study, Delivery of services for water supply, sewerage and solid waste to the municipality of Bidhannagar/Public private partnership, signed yesterday at the Writers? Buildings by Llywelyn Madog Jones, representative for Seureca, and Dilip Gupta, chairman of the Bidhannagar Municipality.

The study is funded by the French government, which will provide Rs 2 crore for the project, officials said.

After a detailed study over 13 months in various phases and by different expert teams, the French company will make recommendations to the civic body to better services.
