A stray dog being examined inside a Mercedes Zetros 6X6 expedition truck retrofitted with a veterinary operation theatre near the Prani Sampad Bhavan in Salt Lake's LB block on Monday. The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation has joined hands with Worldwide Veterinary Service of the UK and city NGO Animals Come First to carry out a rabies vaccination and sterilisation drive in the 14 wards of Salt Lake. Specially trained men will pick up strays from the township and bring them to the truck. (Mayukh Sengupta)
