Calcutta: The high court on Tuesday granted conditional anticipatory bail to BJP councillor Meena Devi Purohit and five supporters who were fearing arrest in connection with a clash between BJP and Trinamul activists over a motorcycle rally in the Jorasanko area on January 12.

The court rejected the prayer for anticipatory bail by another BJP councillor, Vijay Ojha.

Purohit and the five others will have to furnish a personal bond Rs 10,000 each and will not be allowed to enter the jurisdiction of Jorasanko police station without the court's approval.
