Alokesh Prasad Roy (left) takes over from Pawan Kadyan as commissioner of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation. The handover ceremony took place on March 3. Kadyan stays on as sub-divisional officer (SDO) and since the election dates have been announced he shall also serve as the returning officer for the three Assembly constituencies under Bidhannagar sub-division — Salt Lake, Rajarhat- New Town and Rajarhat-Gopalpur.
