The ripple effect was felt till SP Mukherjee Road in the Charu Market area. Normal traffic movement could be restored only after 3pm. The bus that plies between Jadavpur and Howrah was on its way towards the Jadavpur 8B bus terminus when it caught fire near the Prince Anwar Shah Road-Gariahat Road crossing around 1.55pm.
