Body found in office Jumbo kills Ganja seized Robbery Student feat

Body found in office

Malda, Jan. 21: The body of Sashi Kanto Mishra (37), an employee of the Jute Corporation of India, was found inside his office here today.

Mishra was an employee of the company’s Katihar branch and a resident of Budge Budge. Malda district police chief Satyajit Bandyopadhyay said Mishra was drunk and blood was oozing out of his mouth.


Jumbo kills

Alipurduar: Gopa Sutar (53) was trampled to death by a wild elephant in the Chengmari beat area under Kumargram Range of the Buxa Tiger Reserve (East) on Monday. He was a resident of Madhya Haldibari.


Ganja seized

Islampur: Customs officials in Bihar seized 10 quintals of ganja at Faringgola of Kishenganj on Monday. The narcotics was valued at Rs 30 lakh.


Robbery

Islampur: Diwas Rai, a trader of Kanki in Chakulia, was robbed of Rs 21,000 near Bijlimore on Monday morning.


Student feat

Siliguri: Suhita Nath and Dhruba Dhar, students of BSF Senior Secondary Residential School, Kadamtala, have been selected for a cartography competition organised by International Cartographic Association in Moscow.
