Balaram Chakraborty, a key protester on Wednesday, accused Sarkar of anti-party activities, including his “helping Trinamul to grab panchayats that the BJP had won in 2018”.

Sarkar sounded unfazed and said the BJP had recently served a showcause notice to Chakraborty.
