Three persons who were allegedly passing lewd comments at women walking down a footpath along Hospital Road, off Victoria Memorial, were arrested on Sunday afternoon.

“‘The Winners’, an all-female team of Calcutta police, rounded up the three after following them for some time,” said an officer.

The raid was part of a drive against men who target places where women turn up in numbers and make inappropriate gestures or pass lewd remarks at them.

The three accused were released on bail.

The Winners raided parts of Netaji Nagar on Friday night and detained 60 people. Thirteen of them were later arrested for harassing women.
