Ranchi, June 21 :
In view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the eighth edition of Anubhav, a management case study development contest organised by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL),the local chapter of National HRD Network and Management Training Institute (MTI), Ranchi, was held online on Saturday.
While the participants presented their case studies from respective locations, a three-member jury evaluated them from MTI, Ranchi.
The jury comprised of Savita Sengar, vice-chancellor of Jharkhand Rai university, Raman Kumar Jha, her counterpart in Amity University Jharkhand and Nitin Madan Kulkarni, the state’s principal secretary in the health department.
Of the 40-odd teams that had registered for the event, eight qualified for the finals.
The finalists included people from IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Vishakhapatnam, PGS College of Technology, Coimbatore and SAIL.
The contest had two categories --- academic and corporate -- where participants could enter individually or register as a team.
The winners in the academic category were Kedar Mani and Ankur Bhaduri from IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, who made a presentation on “Can HR be a business partner”.
A three-member team from IIM-Vishakhapatnam comprising Girija Dey, Darshan Shukla and Rukhsar Chaudhary became the runners-up .
Winning in the corporate category was Anindya Chakladar of SAIL headquarters in New Delhi, whose presentation was on “Get API (American Petroleum Institute) or get out – Marketing of API grade”.
Subhro Dhara and Digvijay Singh of Research and Development Centre for Iron and Steel (RDCIS), Ranchi became runners-up in this category.
Cash prizes worth Rs 1.40 lakh were on offer, to be distributed among the members of the winning and runners-up teams.
