Ranchi, Jan. 21: Shopaholics could be well prepared to shop in one of the biggest complexes in east India.

Besides shopping, you could catch a movie at the cineplex, dine in fine restaurants, enjoy world-class facilities at the premier club and enjoy your stay in a four-star hotel.

Firayalal Veevo City, planned by city-based promoter and developer M&G Associates, is set to set up a 5.6-acre shopping mall in the state capital.

Located in the Kadru diversion near Chamber Bhavan, the mall is expected to be complete in three years with costs estimated at Rs 450 crore.

R.K. Sahay, director of M&J Associates, said he decided on the project after visiting Singapore on a few occasions and was quite excited about the project.

The eight-storeyed mall designed to meet international standards, will house supermarkets, departmental stores, electronic stores, children’s amusement centre, food courts, restaurants, a cineplex, four-star hotels, a private club and a ball room.

It will also have a three-level car park where over 1,000 cars can be parked at a time.

A 15-storeyed hotel is also being planned, along with premier club facilities like swimming pools, tennis courts, bowling centres, a health centre, halls, restaurants and a games arcade.

Sin Lye Huat, a Singapore-based chief architect who is here said, the mall will be have a contemporary design. Glass, aluminium and stainless steel will be used for the project. “I have designed similar malls in Singapore — like the Suntek City, Refers City and Marine Square. We are working on projects in Bangladesh, China and Vietnam,” he said.

Huat has completed a course in architecture from the National University of Singapore and is in this field since 1981. He has completed projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and Mauritius.
