Calcutta: B. Sumanth’s 206 helped Andhra Pradesh gain the upperhand on the second day of their Cooch Behar Trophy tie against Bengal at Jadavpur University ground.

In reply to Andhra’s mammoth 405 for eight declared, Bengal were 109 for two at the close. Sumanth’s batted for 512 minutes and faced 394 balls while 25 boundaries and two sixes during his knock.

Elsewhere, Ankit Lamba hit 112 for Rajasthan against Saurashtra.
