Calcutta/New Delhi: Baroda batsman Ambati Rayudu has been appointed captain of the India ‘A’ side in the upcoming Deodhar Trophy, while Delhi’s Unmukt Chand will lead India ‘B’ in the three-team event, with Vijay Hazare Trophy champions Gujarat being the third team. Bengal batsman Sudip Chatterjee has been selected in the India ‘A’ squad.

ICC initiative
Cape Town: In an effort to bring all Test nations on board, the ICC has sought the services of a leading technology institute — the MIT — to “achieve” a uniform Decision Review System (DRS), an innovation which India has been opposing for long. ICC CEO David Richardson said the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been asked to submit its findings by May on the various systems in place around the world.

Calcutta: The Tour and Program Fixtures Committee of the BCCI has recommended to the Board’s technical panel to consider organising the Duleep Trophy matches with pink ball.
BCCI decision
Calcutta: A decision on the fate of tainted cricketers Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah, who have been charged with corruption, was today postponed till January 18 by the BCCI’s disciplinary committee after the third accused in the matter — Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf — sought more time to present his case.
DDCA move
New Delhi: The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), in an emergency executive committee meeting on Tuesday, cleared the deck for filing a defamation case against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and its former captain Kirti Azad.

FC Goa case
New Delhi: Two FC Goa officials would appear before the regulatory commission of the ISL, in Mumbai, on Wednesday, to explain their actions after the final in Goa last month. FC Goahave been show-caused for similar offences by the AIFF.
