Calcutta, Jan. 3: There will be a hike in match-fees of the Ranji Trophy players from the forthcoming season. This was decided at the finance committee meeting of the BCCI in the city on Saturday. The players will now get Rs 4,000 per day as match-fees.

It will amount to a total of Rs 16,000 per match. Earlier, they used to get Rs 12,000 per game.

The match-fees of the under-19 and under-22 players was also increased. They will get Rs 1000 per day, which amounts to Rs 3000 per match. Earlier, the juniors got Rs 1,500 per game.

The decisions of the finance committee will be placed at the working committee meeting on Sunday.
