Bangalore: Aparna Popat notched up a record-breaking ninth title on the trot at the Senior National Badminton Championships on Wednesday, quelling the challenge of teenage sensation Saina Nehwal 13-11, 11-3 in the final.
In the much-anticipated title-round, the 27-year-old outclassed Saina, eclipsing Madhumita Bisht’s record eight titles.
