Calcutta: International rapper Pitbull will be the star attraction in the opening ceremony of IPL-VI, the BCCI said in a release on Sunday. The opening ceremony will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium, here, on April 2 from 7:30 pm.

Apart from Pitbull, the show will also feature performances from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. There will also be flying drummers, Chinese percussionists, et al.

“Shah Rukh loves the City of Joy and he is very excited to perform. Katrina will be performing there for the first time. When Pitbull was told that he is being invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the IPL, and Shah Rukh would also be performing as well, he agreed to come within minutes,” a source was quoted as saying in the release.
