An online inter-school sports quiz, to be organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation, will begin from June 29.

The event is being organised to give the students some scope of extra-curricular activity in these difficult times, the organisers said.

Twenty schools, including La Martiniere for Boys, La Martiniere for Girls, Modern High, Loreto House, The Heritage, St Xavier’s, DPS Newtown, DPS Megacity and

St James, will be taking part in the inaugural edition of the quiz.

Named “Golden Gauntlet”, the event will comprise three sections — a general sports quiz, called Strike; a section on cricket with emphasis on the IPL (called Beamer) and a football section focusing on the ISL (called Nutmeg).

The quiz will be open only to students of classes IX, X and XI. The preliminary rounds will continue till July 3 with the finals on July 4.
