Labon Hrad Vidyapith won the Milo inter-school (under-16) cricket tournament, defeating St Xavier’s by 43 runs in the final at Deshapriya Park on Sunday.
Labon Hrad also won the best team support award and their Anirban Banerjee was chosen the tournament’s best bowler.

Swayams Mishra outwitted Belarussian Samsokin Artem in the third round to emerge joint leaders in boys’ section of the Wipro Super Genius chess championships (under-16) at Gorky Sadan on Sunday.
There was a three-way lead in the girls’ section after three rounds, with Mary Ann Gomes, Surpiya Maji and Orissa’s Kiran Kanti Mohanty maintaining all-win records. Monday was a rest day.
