Manik Goswami, elder brother of Chuni, passed away on Thursday morning at a city nursing home. Goswami, 75, who was suffering from a cardiac-related problem was the president of the Bengal Tennis Association (BTA). He was also the life vice-president of the AITA.
The veteran, who served Mohun Bagan both as a footballer and cricketer, also won the national veterans’ champion in tennis, twice partnering Akhtar Ali and Hiralal Das.
