Punjab SC win 4-0, retain title
Punjab Sports Club thrashed CC&FC 4-0 to retain the BHA Super Division league. Yadwinder Singh scored a brace, while Gagandeep Singh and Gurmeet Singh scored one each for the Punjab team.
Punjab Sports Club clinched the title by finishing on seven points while Calcutta Port Trust came second with four points. After the win, coach Jagraj Singh said: “Unity is our strength. We played like a team in the competition. That really helped us.”
Naved Ahmed scored a 103 to help Town Club reach 284 for three in a First Division Championship Playoff match on Tuesday.
