East Bengal and Kalighat Club reached the semi-final of the CAB Senior knockout one day tournament on Wednesday. East Bengal defeated BNR by 38 runs in the quarter final at the Eden, while Kalighat thrashed Aikya Sammilani.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has instructed its registered players not to play in an office tournament which will be held in Jharkhand later this month. Incidentally, two office teams from the city, Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) and Metro Rail, were supposed to participate in the tourney. CESC has top Bengal players like Manoj Tiwary, Ashok Dinda and Wriddhiman Saha in their side.
