Ajinkya Rahane has said his 112 at the MCG is a “special” innings, but he still ranks his 103 against England at Lord’s in 2014 as his best Test century.
“Captaining the side and getting a hundred is really satisfying. It’s indeed one of my special knocks.

“But when it comes to my best knock, I would still say the one at Lord’s against England stands out,” India’s stand-in captain said. MS Dhoni-led India had won the match by 95 runs.
Rahane’s captaincy, marked by his innovative field placements, in this Test has been hailed by experts.
