Calcutta: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will let the government take the final call on allowing a Pakistan team’s participation in the Champions League Twenty20, which will be held across various venues in the country from September 17.
BCCI interim president Jagmohan Dalmiya, on Tuesday, said the Board is yet to receive any intimation from the government. “The government will take a final call on whether a Pakistan team will play in Champions League T20 or not. So far, there hasn’t been a word from the government,” Dalmiya said on Tuesday.
The rising tension at the Line of Control has left the Pakistan Cricket Board worried about the participation of Faisalabad Wolves in the competition. The government, on the other hand, said it would take stock of the situation before taking a call.
