For Saurashtra, Parth Bhut (2/69) picked up two wickets, while Chetan Sakariya and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja accounted for one scalp each.

Earlier in the day, Saurashtra could add just four runs to their overnight total as both Sheldon Jackson (97) and Jadeja departed quickly. Saurashtra are certainly under pressure at present.

In a group C game in Chennai, Karnataka piled up 453 for 8 before declaring their first innings and then reduced Pondicherry to 52 for 2 at stumps. Prasidh Krishna and Vidyadhar Patil picked up a wicket apiece.

Captain Manish Pandey (107 not out off 161 balls) joined Devdutt Padikkal as another century-maker for Karnataka. Padikkal, who resumed on 161, could add only 17 more before he was out caught behind.

After the departure of Padikkal, Pandey kept going despite wickets falling around him.
