Calcutta: Former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president and veteran cricket administrator Inderjit Singh Bindra has expressed "huge relief" at the Supreme Court's move to appoint a four-member committee of administrators to run the affairs of the Board.

In his personal blog, Bindra shared his experiences so that Indian cricket's "new saviours" can learn from the past. According to Bindra, all the four administrators appointed by the apex court are people of impeccable integrity.

"...they will not find the going easy and can expect more than a fair share of hostility from vested and selfish interests both within and outside the Board. This is why in some of my recent tweets I have been requesting all Indian fans to support and pray for these distinguished appointees as they take guard for a new innings in their life," Bindra wrote.

Thrashing former BCCI president Narayanswami Srinivasan, Bindra wrote: "...Srini was so drunk on power that he treated my suggestions with contempt. His selfishness truly put the Board into what I have in earlier blogs described as self-destruct mode and opened the door for the courts to get involved in the game."

In an appeal to the Committee of Administrators, Bindra wrote: "...as we herald a new future for the game, we need to learn from our mistakes. Given its huge fan following in India, I have always believed cricket administrators need to set down the finest standards of ethics, good governance and public trust."
