Chandigarh: India’s lone individual Olympic gold medal winner Abhinav Bindra’s father, A.S. Bindra, was arrested late on Thursday by the Delhi police from his residence in Zirakpur, about 15km from here, for failing to repay loans worth crores from banks and financial institutions.

The arrest was made by the economic offence wing of the Delhi police following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant on a complaint made by Apple Finance and IndusInd Bank in a Delhi court.
